This was a decent book but in my opinion it was too long and in places I had to fight the boredom. 'The Proposal' picks up immediately where 'The Proposition' leaves off. Aidan is miserable about the major mistake he made (or should I say almost made.)Emma has a lot of silliness going on. She is living with Aidan, as friends only, because she was ordered to stay on bed rest. She begins dating her doctor and continues to push Aidan away. In this book Aidan remains faithful in every respect but it just all goes on too long. The book revolves around the consequences of Aidan's 'almost betrayal' although in my mind it was an absolute betrayal even though he changed his mind mid stream and was trying to push the woman away.
It ended well and they got their HEA but it lost something along the way. The focus of the story veered off course and it lost me in places unable to really concentrate because of the doctor and Emma ordeal.

The Proposal The Proposition Book 2 edition by Katie Ashley Contemporary Romance eBooks Reviews
The Proposal was a continuation of The Proposition. In the first novel, we get a picture of Emma as a "stacked" sexy good girl with a disappointing life caused by the death of her parents and former fiance. All she wants is a baby so that she can recreate a family for herself. She chooses Aidan, a player to get her pregnant. She falls in love and he does also, but Aidan runs scared and almost has a fling with a co-worker. He is caught by Emma (still fully dressed) just as he decides not to cheat. He has a backstory of doing this in his past. She dumps him and... that's where we are left with the first novel. Incomplete.
In The Proposal, a continuation of the story, Aidan spends 90 % of the novel groveling for a heroine who turns into the witch from hell. I began to dislike Emma and I think it was because there were too many conflicting views of her. On the one hand she is a "good" girl from a christian family, but on the other turns into a sex addict with a filthy mouth, then a callous woman. She moves into Aiden's home so that he can take care of her when she is put on bedrest for pre-term labor. He had to take leave from his job. Then he takes groveling to the max while putting up with her. And this is where Aiden lost some of his appeal. In most stories Aiden could have explained himself and his "almost cheating" if he was experienced with women as we are led to believe, and the story could have finished with the first book.
I didn't buy the 'love triangle' storyline, it just seemed so forced and far-fetched. A doctor would hit on a woman in the ER who is obviously in advanced pregnancy? And then she allows him to visit her at her boyfriend's house on the pretext of a house call? She was just plain unfeeling when she went on dates with the hot doctor while being taken care of by Aiden in his house. The book finally just became tedious and I was sick of Emma and her pregnancy with the numerous sex scenes in late term pregnancy way before the book ended
Emma's sexual actions were explained as "pregnancy hormones". Really?
Her strange behavior in the witch category continued when she took Aiden's dog and had him castrated without Aiden's permission.
While the first book was fairly good, this book just was not. I began to find the characters boring and I hated that, because they had promise.
Will not be buying the next book about the hot doctor in the story.
As with the first book, Aiden has a lot of growing up to do, and when he almost sleeps with another woman and Emma catches them he suddenly realizes this. Is it too late though? Emma wants nothing to do with him and he is now understands what he has lost, but is determined to win Emma back, even if it only means being in his sons life. The story is warming, heart-breaking, and honest. You begin to understand why Emma and Aiden feel the way they do, their fears and lack of confidence in themselves as well as each other. Commitment is a major thing to happen and it can bring out the worst in people. While i enjoyed the story, i don't think it makes me want to continue reading the series. But others may feel differently.
I gave my five star rating because l laughed, cried, was angry at times, and I felt pleased. All of these emotions just like it felt when I was pregnant with my girls we were missing the love between the parents like Aidan's and Emma's which made this even more interesting .I liked his loving family and her loving family and friends they were also very caring ,helpful, regular loving people! I could read this over and over and over again I think everyone should read this it's what most loving families and friends should be now a day's I think this is what most people lack in their histories we're to caught up with everything else that the love is lacking I think that's what Katie Ashley is trying to say good work look forward to reading more of your book's!!!!!
I was hoping for more out of this book. The blurb hints at a new guy vying for Emma. Nope. Doesn't happen. Or it doesn't happen like it should've. She meets Pesh at the hospital and he brings her Indian food which she promptly throws up on Aidan. I was shaking my head the entire time Pesh was around. Just seemed like a wrench thrown in there without much thought put into the character. It felt like this book went on forever. Like once she chose Aidan, I was hoping for a FFWD on months and get down to when they're married and when Noah's born. Nope. You get to read all their sexy scenes which honestly got boring because there were so many of them. By the end, I was thankful it was over.
